The pure country air and healthy exercise combine to give members and guests an appetite that keeps our traditional cookhouse ever busy. Our donkey brick oven and wood fired grills can satisfy the hungriest horsemen. Our chef is not afraid to use nature's bounty to full advantage, harvesting many wild herbs, roots, fruits and mushrooms to be found around the lodge.

«food grown on the farm»
Whenever possible the kitchens use locally sourced, organic produce. We can always offer a selection of snacks or prepare and pack a riding picnic. With advance notice we can prepare and serve BBQ lunches either out on the trail or at the Lodge, where we have a large log fired banqueting barn or a comfortable terrace, with spectacular views overlooking the Ocean.

We also offer evening social and dining facilities for small or larger parties and will arrange an interesting, inclusive menu to suite all tastes. We specialize in aromatic roasts and grills flavored with a blend of wood smoke and a traditional herbal marinade. Our desserts could be the ruin of our horse's backs and our home baked breads and piazzas are irresistible. We are always pleased to serve vegetarian dishes and we only serve fresh fish to order as it comes directly from our local boats. If you would like to arrange a visit to the Lodge to either ride, drive or dine and perhaps enjoy a stroll around the farm please ring or mail us and we will be pleased to discuss menus, entertainment and bookings etc. Our largest stone barn can comfortably seat 30 guests and has an open woodfired grill, ideal for a pig roast and the tables can soon make way for dancing and partying after diner.

Picnic by hidden lakes

Our alfresco dining terace can accomodate both small and large parties and our guests often enjoy watching both the horses and their riders whilst dining. For special occasions we can arrange for local musicians to entertain your party. We frequently enjoy informal and spontainious fado evenings and if you play an instument you are welcome to bring it along to one of our jam sessions.

We are pleased to cater for social and dining occaisions and can include equestrian or other activities to suite your function.

Many guests enjoying meeting our horses and other animals and a short carriage ride around the farm can turn an excellent meal into a really memorable adventure.. We are at present training a pair of carriage horses to work with local dissabled groups so it really is possible for most people to "have a go".
