We offer a variety of equestrian leisure activities, specializing in carriage driving. Our horses are all locally bred Cruzado Porrtugês and respond positively to their tranquil environment and, without exception, will enjoy working with you. Our carriages are all new, well sprung and equipped with safe, modern, disc brakes. At present, we are using a 4-wheel jardinere, which can be pulled by a pair or a single horse, a deluxe 2 weald gig, and for the adventurous a modern marathon coach. Click here. At the Lodge, we do not have residential accommodation for visiting riders but are pleased to arrange accommodation for our guests and have a wide choice of options available locally. We can offer a variety of hotel accommodation nearby, with an excellent hotel being our nearest neighbor, a short walk away across the valley. We can also arrange for self-catering apartments or villas nearby or, just over half an hour’s drive away, we are pleased to accommodate guests at the Quinta da Horta, Ferragudo. |
