Alto da Lua

Overlooking our stables, Alto da Lua is a small but exclusive country hotel whose style manages to bring together tradition and modernism, peace and comfort, and by means of its location connects the sea and the mountain, the sophisticated Algarve and the wild Algarve, the Mediterranean climate with the Atlantic Ocean. If you are seeking calm and a family atmosphere, you will find it at Alto da Lua. It is an ideal base to relax after a hard days ride.

It has an excellent pool overlooking the sea and the surrounding mountains is at your disposal as well as a terrace bar and barbecue area.For those quiet afternoon naps you can relax in one of the hammocks on your balcony with an uninterrupted view across the hills to the ocean.

In the new hotel building there are 9 double rooms, either king sized or twin singles, all with air conditioning, private bathrooms and terraces. In the original farm house there are two family apartments lodging 4 people each. They both have one double bedroom and one living room that accommodates 2, also a small kitchen making it perfect for a couple with children.

There are two living rooms. One more intimate with a fire place and a pool table, where you can quietly read a newspaper, a book from the small library or make use of the game table; the other one is more spacious, overlooking the pool with a spectacular view and TV area.

There is a comfortable dining room were you may enjoy an excellent buffet breakfast before your ride. Breakfast is included in the room rate for the rooms, but is not included in the apartment rates but can be ordered separately(Adults 4€ Children 2€).

This is a very isolated hotel and car rental is recommended. If you prefer we can arrange for a rental car to be waiting for you at Faro airport, about one hours drive, or we can arrange for you to be met at the airport and driven to your hotel at a cost of 75 euros( 1 to 4 people).

Rates

Prices are in euros and are per room whether occupied by one or two people. An extra bed can bee fitted in some rooms at a cost of 20 euros per day, or cradle at 10 eros per day.
