The New
Forest Lodge is a historic stone built hill farm situated on the
edge of the Costa Vincentina national park. The farm has 3 guest
rooms which over look the stables, home to a dozen or so sure footed
locally bred horses and ponies.

Parts
of the farm date back to the Moorish occupation. The farm draws
its own water from a moorish well. The bread is cooked in an ancient
stone built wood oven and the walled kitchen gardens provide a generous
harvest.

The lodge
offers both horse riding and carriage driving facilities and has
a variety of differing styles, designs of carriages and wagons,
there is a large circular training area and our own cross country
course which is continually evolving to provide an interesting ride
for both beginners, experienced riders and drivers.

The kitchens
boast a wood fired range and oven. The superb traditional farm house
cuisine will both satisfy the hungriest rider and tease the taste
buds of the true foody! You can combine your visit with a lesson
in country cookery and there are residential holidays offered where
you can learn the secrets of our kitchens.
